Throwing a staff party sounds easy, but there are a few important things you should do to make sure everyone has fun. Don’t worry, it’s simple if you plan ahead! Here’s how to make your party a big success:
1. Book Your Party Place Early
The first thing to do is find a place for your party. Make sure to book it 3 months early! Why? Because people need time to plan. If you tell them too late, they might be busy and not able to come.
Also, booking early gives you more time to fix any problems. Maybe something changes, or the place gets busy. If you plan early, you’ll be ready!
2. Pick the Music Before the Party
Music makes the party fun! But if people fight over what songs to play, it can ruin the mood. So, choose the music before the party starts.
You can:
Hire a DJ: They know how to play songs everyone likes.
Make a Playlist: Let everyone add songs they like before the party. You can use Spotify or Apple Music for this.
This way, everyone gets to hear music they enjoy without any arguments!
3. Talk to the Caterers About Food (More Than Once!)
Food is super important, especially if people can’t eat certain things because of allergies, religion, or personal choice.
Here’s a smart tip: Tell the caterers about special food needs at least twice! People forget things, so reminding them helps. This makes sure everyone has something yummy to eat and feels happy at the party.
4. Choose a Place Just for Your Group
Let’s be honest - parties get noisy! People laugh, talk, and maybe have a drink or two. If the place is shared with others, you might get asked to quiet down or leave.
So, pick a venue where your team has their own space. It’s even better if you can use it for 5 to 6 hours. Then, everyone can have fun, be loud, and not worry!
